Edibles Production Technician - 1st Shift

Location: Boonton, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $19.00/hr

Position Summary

The Edibles Production Technician supports the manufacturing of cannabis-infused edible products, including gummies, in a regulated production environment. This role ensures products are produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company SOPs, GMP standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining high quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of cannabis-infused edible products according to established recipes and SOPs.

• Operate, clean, and maintain production equipment and kitchen work areas.

• Complete production orders accurately while maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency.

• Record and maintain accurate production and inventory documentation.

• Follow GMP, food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards.

• Maintain proper hygiene and wear required PPE at all times.

• Support the implementation of new production processes and systems.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and assist with general sanitation duties.

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

• Work additional hours or flexible shifts when necessary to meet production demands.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in GMP manufacturing, food production, or laboratory environments preferred.

• Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of units of measure).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).

• Must meet state cannabis regulatory age requirements.

• Background check required.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in environments that may include plant matter, dust, pollen, temperature fluctuations, and humidity. Employees may also be exposed to cleaning chemicals such as bleach. PPE is required and may include protective clothing, gloves, and optional eye and ear protection.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 10 hours).

• Frequent hand use and manual dexterity for production tasks.

• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and maintain sanitation standards.
