Head Grower

Location: Lowell, MA
Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite
Compensation: $60K–$70K

We are seeking an experienced Head Grower to lead cultivation operations at our commercial cannabis facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can step in immediately, take ownership of daily cultivation activities, and hit the ground running with minimal training.

The ideal candidate has a proven background in commercial cannabis cultivation, strong leadership skills, and experience managing cultivation teams while maintaining compliance and maximizing plant health and yields.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily cultivation operations from propagation through harvest.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of 3 direct reports, ensuring consistency and accountability.
• Create and manage employee schedules to maximize operational efficiency.
• Manage and optimize the watering/irrigation system via Agrotek.
• Maintain accurate METRC tracking and ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Monitor plant health, environmental conditions, nutrients, irrigation, and integrated pest management.
• Implement cultivation best practices to improve quality, consistency, and yields.
• Coordinate with executive leadership and proactively communicate cultivation updates and operational needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies, helping save executive leadership time by independently managing day-to-day cultivation operations.
• Maintain SOPs and ensure all cultivation activities meet company standards.

Qualifications

• Commercial cannabis cultivation experience is required.
• Previous experience as a Head Grower, Lead Grower, or similar leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with Agrotek is required.
• Strong working knowledge of METRC.
• Experience supervising and training cultivation staff.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to make decisions independently and take ownership of cultivation operations.
• Reliable, responsible, and highly trustworthy with a strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities.

• Strong leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Lowell, MA.
